Seminars will take place once a month and will last 1 hour.
The guest speakers are members of the NICH-Arctic team. The seminar will be an opportunity to discover the works of colleagues.
Our first seminar is Thursday September 23rd. Marie-Michèle Ouellet-Bernier, postdoctoral researcher at the Université Laval, will break the ice with a talk entitled “Representation of winter and climate in historical sources of Nunatsiavut/Labrador”
Wednesday October 20th. Dr. Elizabeth Thomas, assistant professor at the University at Buffalo. Her talk is entitled “Using water isotope proxy systematics to infer past changes in the Arctic water cycle”.
Thursday November 11th. Dr. Malan Marnersdottir, professor at Fróðskaparsetur Føroya, The University of the Faroe Islands. Her talk is entitled “Sub-Arctic literary Eco Critic”.
Thursday December 2nd. Dr. Claire Houmard, researcher at Université de Franche-Comté. Her talk is entitled “Eastern Canadian Arctic prehistory : Dorset and Thule cultures”.
